Dear Mr. President and Vice-President:
This is an official request upon your office to remove the FBI Director James Comey from office. There are no statutory conditions on the President’s authority to remove the FBI Director. He has exhibited irresponsible and reckless behavior in his deliberate actions and shown that he does not have the good judgment needed to fulfill the responsibilities of this office. Under his leadership the Citizens of America have been subjected to undo election stress and confusion due to his lack of regard for the laws of our country.
We site his poor ethical judgment by ignoring there is no evidence of any violation of law, in his misleading desire or political motivation to interfere in the Presidential election, following the FBI’s decision to open up an investigation into SecretaryClinton’s emails this close to Election Day. Federal employees are forbidden from participating in political activities under the Hatch Act.
Mr. Comey had no business writing to Congress about supposed new emails that neither he nor anyone in the FBI has ever reviewed, It is not the function of the FBI Director to be making public pronouncements about an investigation, never mind an investigation based on evidence that he acknowledges may not be significant.
Since he serves at the pleasure of the president and can be removed by the president at any time. We urge your office to act without regard to politics and remove and/or request his resignation immediately. It appears the FBI Director’s letter sent to Congress, and a memo Comey sent to employees on Friday acknowledging that the FBI does not yet know the importance of the new emails discovered was politically motivated and unethical to say the least.
Therefore, Comey’s unbecoming conduct threatens our democracy, constitutes an utter dereliction of duty, and failure to uphold his oath of office, to protect the American people and enforce the U.S. Constitution.
Thanking you in advance,
Mr. Roy L. Perry-Bey
Director of Civil Rights United Front for Justice
