Virginia Governor announces agreement to continue operation of the Virginia Commercial Space Authority

The Governor also announced a separate agreement to build a 3,000-foot runway for Unmanned Aircraft Systems 

(BMLTV) Norfolk Va., August 6, 2015 - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today an agreement has been reached between the Commonwealth of Virginia and Orbital ATK regarding repair costs and insurance coverage following the October 2014 launch mishap that damaged portions of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS).

NASA to host Oct. 30 Teleconference about Mars Curiosity Rover progress

(PRN/USN) PASADENA, Calif., October 26, 2012 - NASA will host a media teleconference at 11:30 a.m. PDT (2:30 p.m. EDT) on Tuesday, Oct. 30, to provide an update about the Curiosity rover's mission to Mars' Gale Crater.

The Mars Science Laboratory Project and its Curiosity rover are almost three months into a two-year prime mission to investigate whether conditions may have been favorable for microbial life.
